Fidanka Bacheva-McGrath
Working for CEE Bankwatch Network, Fidanka coordinated work in the Balkans in the period 2004-2008 and the work on the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development since 2008.
She has experience from gold mining and extractive industry campaigns in Bulgaria and the EBRD region, as well as several EBRD policy revisions. She has studied Southeastern European Studies in the Americal University in Bulgaria, Environmental science and policy in Arizona, USA, and at the Central European University in Hungary, and is currently finishing a course on Environmental Law and Sustainable Development at the Queens University in Northern Ireland.
In her free time she is involved in developing sustainable living models in an eco village between the Kresna gorge and the Pirin National Park in Bulgaria.
